Aasifa had got a new little friend in her place. Her little friend is injured severely with her hands and legs bleeding where she rushes to her sister and conveys this. Both of them arrived at the place treated her wounds and aided her. The little girl was crying uncontrollably she was in search of her mother.

At one point in time, she looked at herself and asked, “ Akha(Didhi) Am I looking beautiful? ” They replied “Yes!”. She continued “But why don’t I think so, I have the same normal hands and legs like others, It’s not even grown, just 2 inches Akha. So, What made my neighborhood uncle rape me? I screamed louder and louder that I have not even done when it was my favorite PT period in school!” Aasifa hugged her little friend and tried to console. The sister wiped her tears and asked “ What’s your name? ” where she said, “Jayapriya and Yours? The voice was so soft and she replied:

I am Nirbhaya, Don’t worry we won’t return to this inhumane world never!”

This was one of my weird dreams that made me immediately woke from my bed, it was the day just after I heard the news of a 7-year-old girl, JayaPriya, who was brutally raped and killed in Tamil Nadu. People have started raising their voices against this animosity and demand justice for JayaPriya. Days passed the accused was arrested and put in prison. So soonly, another similar news happened.

Nirbhaya, Aasifa and Jayapriya is the talk of the town for a few days and some others would be for another day who knows It may be me or You. It’s not surprising since it’s the kind of environment we live in. It was only after seven years we got justice for Nirbhaya, fortunately their parents had the strength and financial support to go to the court and fight for justice. Imagine the situation of poor in India and many such cases are unreported!

I just went on basic online research to find out what made these people rape a child or women. According to a TOI’s Article, “ Watching gendered chores at home, ideas of ‘ideal’ womanhood based on cultural epics like Sita as an ‘ideal’ wife and closeness to their mothers to the extent that they revered her like a goddess. These men had observed their mothers with regard to her gendered behavior within the household. The mother ‘set’ the gender roles within the family, which the men then internalized. These roles play an important role in shaping their attitudes towards women in adulthood, bolstered by the absence of fathers in early childhood. Most stuck to traditional notions of masculinity.

Another main reason what I found is Technology, So I am not into the debate whether it is good or bad. Well in this lock-down you knew everything is online. I suggest you make a control use of it and if you are a parent reading this Do make sure You have the parental control option enabled whenever you give your phone to your kids.

Nothing is changed or will change until we change the way of perspective thinking in the right view. No one in this world is that perfect to judge people who are right or wrong, but make sure you live rightly at least to your heart!
